Award nomination form for: Best Local Authority or Integrated Transport Authority

Is your local authority or passenger transport executive the best in the land? And, if so, why?  What have they done that is so good?  Are they a good funder, do they innovate or have they made a real difference to people lives through using community transport?  This is your chance to tell the world about them and let us all learn from your positive experiences.

Nominate them for the award of Best Local Authority or PTE at this year’s CTA Annual Awards Dinner.  You can nominate any county council, district council unitary authority, metropolitan borough, passenger transport executives etc from any country in the UK.  We want to know why your authority is different and why it should be highlighted as an example of best practice.   CT’s are obviously interested in the funding that flows from councils around the country, but we don’t just want to know who puts the most money in.  We want to know who excels in other areas such as customer care, monitoring and review procedures and access to information as well.

Nominations may come from local operators, stakeholders or from the authority themselves.   However, when completing the nomination form, we are particularly interested in how the authority has demonstrated one or more of:

 Innovation
 Leadership
 Communication & engagement
 Service & network development

Submissions will be scrutinised by an expert panel and a shortlist of three entrants will be invited to the CTA Annual Awards Dinner at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester, where the winner will be announced, on Tuesday 23rd February 2010.  The winner will receive a trophy, certificate and one year’s free membership of the CTA.

*Note: the original deadline for nominations has been changed from 10 January to 15 February 2010, however, you can still use the original nomination forms!
