Award nomination form for: Investment in Volunteering 2010
Volunteering is the commitment of time and energy for the benefit of society and the community, the environment or individuals outside one's immediate family. It is undertaken freely and by choice, without concern for financial gain.
There are thousands of potential volunteers out there and we want to find the Community Transport Operator who has engaged and invested in volunteering to deliver community transport services to meet the community’s transport needs.
Please nominate using the attached form. Tell us:
How are volunteers recruited?
Is there an induction programme?
Does the organisation invest in volunteer training and how is this paid for?
How do you demonstrate volunteer appreciation
Does the organisation review effectiveness of volunteer programme (e.g. regular review meetings with volunteers, volunteer surveys etc)
What are the tangible benefits this organisation has gained from investing in volunteers
Use the form below to address these specific issues and to give us any other information to support your nomination. Nominations can be made by the organisation that the volunteer(s) work for or by passengers or other stakeholders in the local community.
Submissions will be scrutinised by an Awards Panel. The winner will be announced, on Tuesday 23rd February 2010 at the CTA Annual Awards Dinner. The winner will receive a trophy and a certificate.
*Note: the original deadline for nominations has been changed from 10 January to 15 February 2010, however, you can still use the original nomination forms!.
