Access11 Best Transport Authority
Without the support and input of local authorities, integrated transport authorities, passenger transport executives, rural community councils and others the community transport sector would be far less effective. The CTA wishes to recognise the vital role they play. Entry is open to any statutory authority with a transport function or interest (whether in delivery, policy, planning, funding or some other field) and judges will be looking for an outstanding organisation that has made a significant contribution to the impact of local community transport provision. Transport authorities’ support for community transport manifests itself in many different ways – perhaps the entry could highlight specific initiatives implemented by the authority to improve community transport services, innovative examples of support or evidence of collaboration.

Unwin Safety Systems is delighted to sponsor this award for the third year running. The annual awards dinner provides an opportunity for the transport industry to reward best practice. Unwin Safety Systems has been actively involved with the community transport industry for over 50 years. Unwin is not only a committed member of the CTA and a dedicated exhibitor at the CTA annual event but is also known throughout the industry as the leader in providing crashworthy solutions which exceed international standards. Unwin Safety Systems is committed to maximising accessibility for all, while ensuring peace of mind for wheelchair passengers, their families and their carers as well as safety professionals.
