Access11 MiDAS Driver of the Year

The annual MiDAS Driver of the Year competition brings together the best MiDAS drivers from across the UK. Entrants and winners from regional competitions will undergo a rigorous assessment of their driving on Tuesday 15 March at Access11 in Manchester. The highest scoring driver will be awarded the title of MiDAS Driver of the Year. The competition is limited to drivers who hold a current MiDAS certificate (MiDAS driver/assessor trainers and training agents may not enter.)

Please note that entries for MiDAS Driver of the Year are administered locally throughout the UK and any driver wishing to enter can obrain full details from www.ctauk.org or by contacting their local CTA office.

How to enter

The annual MiDAS Driver of the Year competition brings together the best MiDAS drivers from across the UK.

Regional winners will undergo a rigorous assessment of their driving and accessible equipment knowledge on Tuesday 15th March at Access11 in Manchester. The highest scoring driver will be awarded the title of Q’Straint UK MiDAS Driver of the Year 2010.

The competition is limited to drivers who hold a current MiDAS certificate. Please note MiDAS DATs (Driver Assessor Trainers) and Training agents may not enter.

Please note: entry to regional MiDAS Driver of the Year competitions are administered locally. This year the UK Final is limited to 2 drivers (1 winner and 1 runner up) per region.

·Scotland - initial online theory test. Winner and first runner up will be notified by 18 Feb 2011 and invited to attend Access11 to take part in UK final 15 March.

·Wales – Regional competition now closed. Winner and First Runner Up have been invited to take part in the UK final 15 March.

·Northern Ireland – Regional competition now closed. Winner and Runner Up have been invited to take part in the UK final 15 March.

The Q’Straint UK MiDAS Driver of the Year Final will be held 15th March 2011 at Manchester Central as part of Access11. All entrants must be available for assessment on that day. No other dates are available.

All UK finalists will be provided with 1 free ticket to attend the CTA 25th Anniversary Awards Dinner being held in the Hilton Manchester at 7pm 15th March 2011.

Q'Straint sponsorship includes a bursary to help with driver's travel costs to attend the UK final and overnight accommodation for 15th March in Manchester.
