Access11 Community Transport Volunteer of the Year

It’s people who count the most in the community transport sector. We want to hear about the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to your organisation or community as a volunteer. Judges are looking for nominations that clearly show how the individual has made an exceptional contribution to their community transport organisation as a volunteer.

How to enter

Entry is free. You may submit entries for one or more categories provided you complete a separate application form and provide separate supporting evidence for each entry. You may self-nominate or nominate another organisation/person. If nominating another organisation/person please ensure the nominee is aware you have nominated them. Previous first-place winning projects will not be considered in 2011 unless the judges consider that there have been significant changes or developments within the past 12 months. Each entry must include:

• Nomination form: an official nomination form must be completed and signed. This should
  demonstrate how the nominee meets the category criteria.


Prizes

All winners will be awarded a trophy and a certificate. All runners up will receive a certificate. Full details of winners will be published on the CTA’s website and in CTA Journal.


Submission and closing date

Nomination forms, more information about each category and full rules of entry are available at
www.ctauk.org or on request by emailing info@ctauk.org or by telephoning 0161 351 1475. It is essential that all entries meet the criteria set out for the category in which they are entered. When compiling your entry, therefore, please ensure you are as clear and unambiguous as possible.

Entries must at received (by post or email) no later than 5pm on Friday 18 February 2011. Please note that we do encourage early submission. You should submit your entries to:

How will the awards be judged?

The CTA will assess all applications against the criteria set for each award and will shortlist three finalists per category. An independent panel of sponsors and community transport sector experts will assess the finalists and choose the winners. The decisions of the judging panel are final. All finalists will be invited to attend the CTA 25th Anniversary Annual Awards Dinner and will receive one complimentary ticket.
