England Policy Conference 2011

Our third England Policy Conference will include contributions from government, local authorities and community transport organisations. The conference will be followed by a special Parliamentary Reception at the Houses of Parliament, kindly hosted by Louise Ellman MP, Chair of the Transport Select Committee, to mark the CTA’s 25 anniversary.

SPEAKERS INCLUDE:
Norman Baker, MP, Transport Minister, Department for Transport (confirmed)
Richard Benyon, MP, Rural Affairs Minister, Defra (confirmed)
Louise Ellman, MP, Chair of the Transport Select Committee, at our Parliamentary Reception (confirmed)
Maria Eagle, MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport (confirmed)
Paul Maynard, MP, who will speak about his Private Member's Bill to extend concessionary travel to community transport (confirmed)

> Hear keynote speeches on community transport from the Transport and Rural Affairs Ministers and from the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport
> Hear from local authorities and community transport organisations about new initiatives
> Learn about “how things are going” across our sector
> Find out more about the Transport Select Committee’s recommendations on community transport.

The conference will be followed by the Parliamentary Reception at the Houses of Parliament, which will include afternoon tea. This will offer an ideal opportunity to network with CTA members from across England.

Please note that for members of CTA, the Annual General Meeting will precede the Policy Conference at 9.30 at RBS, 280 Bishopsgate.  All members are warmly invited to attend.
