The CTA in London

The CTA in London has worked closely with Transport for London, the London councils, the Olympic Delivery Authority and the London boroughs.  The  agenda for sustainable and better integrated transport is now at the forefront of many of the funders' and stakeholders' current plans.  Additionally, CTA London provides a support, representation and coordination role for its members, stakeholders and partners in the capital.  This work is funded by the City Bridge Trust.

London is the most populous city in the European Union, with an official population of 7.5 million. London’s citywide administration is co-ordinated by the Greater London Assembly (GLA), whilst local administration is carried out by the 33 Local Authorities, namely the 32 London Boroughs and the City of London.

Transport is one of the four policy areas administered by the Mayor of London. Public transport is administered by Transport for London (TfL) and is the most extensive network in the world. Public transport in London currently faces large congestion, capacity and reliability issues.
