The CTA in Scotland
CTA supports its members in Scotland through staff working from its Galashiels and Evanton offices. The Scottish Government/Local Authority Concordat has been the most significant recent development in a rapidly changing environment. This means that the Scottish network of community transport operators is being shaped by local authority and community planning decisions. The other significant development of recent years has been the growth of the social enterprise model of service delivery.
CTA in Scotland are helping Scottish community transport operators to adapt to this new environment by providing guidance, advice and information via regular e-bulletins, quarterly meetings which can be attended by anyone with an interest in community transport, an annual event in Scotland as well as occasional roadshows and other ad hoc events.
CTA’s work in Scotland is currently supported by the Big Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government.
