The CTA Wales Team

The CTA in Wales

The CTA works to support its members in Wales through its offices in Swansea and Rhyl. Our work in Wales is supported by the Welsh Government, via its Integrated Transport Unit. They provide core funding to CTA as the "voice of community transport in Wales, to support and develop new and existing community transport operators (CTO’s) across the country, and to serve as advocate and promoter of the sector.

The CTA Wales team helps ensure that CTO’s are able to deliver legally compliant, safe, professional transport services that follow best practice whilst also representing the interests of the sector to local and national government. We can support communities and organisations to develop new community transport schemes and work with a variety of other organisations and to find and develop appropriate transport solutions at the local level.

CTA is for and about inclusive and accessible transport and we believe that nobody should be disadvantaged due to a lack of access to suitable transportation.  Transport is a key enabler for living and CTA contributes to the wellbeing of Wales through support and assistance for CTO's. By helping to create conditions that are supportive of Community Transport services, we can encourage more transport connections, help reduce isolation and help individuals feel more connected to friends, family, community, public services and facilities.
